By car, from Pisa or from the exit Pisa Centro of the A12 motorway, take the highway called S.G.C. or FI-PI-LI, direction Florence. Exit at Pontedera-Ponsacco, then follow direction Capannoli-Volterra for 8 kilometers. When you are in Capannoli, cross the whole town (about 2 km.) and you arrive to a big runabout (with big metal circles inside), where you take the first exit:go straight up to a slope for 1 km keeping the left as far as the cimitery you’ll see on the left, pass it and take the right at the fork, for 600 meter where you’ll find a junction, take the road on the right (shows the Poste and the Campo sportivo) and follow that road for 900 meters as far as another fork. You are few meters from our place: take the left and enter in the first left entrance road: you arrived.
By car, from Florence or from exit Scandicci of motorway A1, take the highway called S.G.C. or FI-PI-LI, direction Pisa. Exit at Pontedera and at the first runabout take direction Volterra and drive for 10 kilometers (passing through 3 runabouts). At the 4th runabout take the right, direction Capannoli-Casciana Terme. Drive as far as the next runabout, go straight up to a slope for 1 km keeping the left as far as the cimitery you’ll see on the left, pass it and take the right at the fork, for 600 meter where you’ll find a junction, take the road on the right (shows the Poste and the Campo sportivo) and follow that road for 900 meters as far as another fork. You are few meters from our place: take the left and enter in the first left entrance road: you arrived.
By train from Pisa (2,60 €) or from Florence (6,80 €) take the line Pisa-Florence or Florence-Pisa and get down at Pontedera-Casciana Terme r.r.station. From Pontedera take public rural bus (line 450) to Santo Pietro Belvedere (2,00 €). From Santo Pietro Belvedere walk down Via Pinete for 1 km and you reach La Fanciullaccia.
By flight you can reach either Pisa G.Galilei Int. Airport or Florence Vespucci Int. Airport. Pisa airport has an internal r.r.station, Florence airport offers a shuttle (6,00 €) to the railrod a station. Then you can reach us by train.
If you don’t want to wait or coincidences have already started, we can agree and we can arrange a pick up from Pisa airport (15,00 €) or from Pontedera station (7,00 €).
From “La Fanciullaccia” you can reach by car the most of the Tuscan art towns: Pisa (30 minutes), Volterra (35 minutes), San Gimignano (45 minutes), Lucca (50 minutes), Firenze (60 minutes), Siena (90 minutes); other towns also are not far: Livorno (40 minutes) e Pistoia (60 minutes), and small interesting towns such San Miniato (30 minutes), Certaldo (60 minutes), Colle Val d’Elsa (60 minutes), and several hamlets like Peccioli (10 minutes), Casciana Terme (15 minutes), Chianni (20 minutes), Vicopisano (25 minutes). By rural bus from Capannoli (3 km from “La Fanciullaccia”), you can reach Volterra (line 500) (3,20 €) in about 40 minutes and Pontedera (line 450) (2,00 €) in 20 minutes, from which r.r.station you can easily reach Pisa (2,60 €), Firenze (6,80 €), Livorno (4,40 €), Lucca (5,50 €), Pistoia (8,40 €), Siena (9,10 €) by train, with one train change for some of them.
To reach the sea, the nearest beaches (Cecina, Bibbona, Versilia) are about 1 hour drive.
